Introducing CloseBot V2
Over the past 18 months, you’ve likely heard whispers — or direct updates — about CloseBot V2. Behind the scenes, this has been a massive undertaking. And for good reason: many agencies have built their core service offerings on CloseBot’s technology and seen major growth in the process.
Now, with V2 on the horizon, the natural questions are surfacing: What’s changing? How will it affect our business? And what do we need to do to prepare?
Here’s an inside look at what CloseBot V2 is — and why it represents the next generation of AI Agent infrastructure for agencies.
Major Shift: No More Sub-Agency Accounts
One of the biggest structural changes in V2 is how account hierarchies work. In CloseBot V1, some agencies were able to offer CloseBot to other agencies as sub-accounts. This is going away.
Just like HighLevel doesn’t allow one agency to create and resell access to other agencies under them, CloseBot V2 will no longer support multi-agency reselling structures. All sub-accounts will have lightweight permissions — including limited editing of bot settings — but only users at the origin (top-level) agency will have access to the full drag-and-drop builder to create and manage bot flows.
If you’re currently operating under another agency’s CloseBot account, now is the time to secure your own. Prices for annual plans will be increasing again before V2 is released, and locking in your plan now ensures you keep your current rate for life.
Built for Scale
When we built CloseBot V1, we focused on one thing: quality of the AI. We knew if we couldn’t deliver consistent, high-performing agents that qualified leads and booked appointments, nothing else would matter.
That bet paid off — but it meant we held off on some common platform features in favor of cracking the AI code first.
CloseBot V2 changes that.
Now that the AI foundation is solid, we’re turning our attention to scalability — with features designed to make life easier for both agencies and their clients.
You’ve asked for more control. More customization. More automation. We’ve listened.
What’s Coming in CloseBot V2
Here’s a breakdown of some of the major updates you can expect in CloseBot V2:
Account Management Flexibility
In V2, you’ll finally be able to update account information — including your email address and profile settings. This also includes enhanced security preferences and (eventually) language options for the CloseBot dashboard.
User Permissions & Multi-User Access
Legacy CloseBot accounts had no native way to add team members — forcing users to share login credentials. V2 fixes this. You’ll be able to add multiple users, define their roles and permissions, and choose which sources (more on that below) they can access.
Source Connections
Sources are where lead conversations originate. Upon launch, CloseBot V2 will support GoHighLevel sub-accounts, GoHighLevel agency accounts, and webhooks. Each source can be independently connected to a bot, giving you granular control over which conversations the AI handles — and how.
Editable Knowledge Documents
V2 finally introduces the ability to edit uploaded knowledge documents — a long-requested feature. Even better, sub-accounts will now be able to upload their own docs to help train the bots. This makes managing dozens (or hundreds) of AI agents dramatically easier and more scalable.
Streamlined Setup
You’ll no longer need to install workflows manually. Instead, you’ll simply assign the tag(s) that allow a bot to respond. For example: any contact with the tag “another-tag” (and without the tag “dnd”) will trigger a bot response once the app is installed. Clean, simple, scalable.
Agency App Deployment
One of our favorite new additions is the CloseBot Agency App. If you’re supporting a HighLevel agency and want to roll out bots to all of their sub-accounts — without requiring individual setup — you can now do that in one click. All new and existing sub-accounts under that agency will be automatically connected.
Why This Matters
CloseBot V2 is more than a new version — it’s a fundamental upgrade in how agencies can deliver conversational AI to their clients. From the start, our mission has been to make AI agents not just powerful, but practical — and with V2, we’re removing the barriers that have slowed agency growth.
It also means that as we expand integrations beyond GoHighLevel, you’ll no longer need to convince businesses to switch CRMs just to use your AI solution. CloseBot will work alongside whatever system they already use — giving you the freedom to offer AI to anyone, anywhere.
Launch Timeline & Next Steps
We’re targeting a full public launch of CloseBot V2 by the end of March 2025. Early access and testing will begin this month (January). And yes — you’ll be hearing from us more frequently between now and launch, with regular updates on features, rollout plans, and user onboarding.
If you’ve been part of the CloseBot community for any length of time, you know we don’t make empty promises. V2 is the future of AI agent deployment — and it’s built for you.
Now is the time to plan your move. If you’re already on CloseBot, get ready. If you’re under someone else’s agency, now’s the time to step into ownership. And if you’ve been watching from the sidelines, the window to lock in current pricing won’t stay open for long.
